Meet Recap

Saturday was a successful day in Dickson County for the Wilson Central Boys Cross Country Team. The Wildcats finished 3rd out of 30 teams in a very competitive and very hilly meet. All seven boys finished in the top-100 out of more than 300 runners. John Elrod (12th) and Joel Barlow (16th) both brought home hardware in addition to the team bronze.

Congratulations to Nathan Peterson, John Elrod, Joel Barlow, Baylor Franklin, and Grant Pody who have qualified for the All-Midstate Team due to their performances at the Voyles Classic and MSCCA Championship meets!! John and Joel made the “first” team (top-7), Baylor made the second team; Nathan and Grant qualified for third team honors. It is a remarkable achievement to finish in the top-21 of these two meets and to be named All-Midstate. To have five boys qualify from the same school is almost unheard of!!
