The competition heated up for the Wildcats last night at the Great Eight meet that took place at Harpeth Hall High School. This meet attracts the top 8 athletes in the state for each event, and is extremely tough to qualify for. With athletes from over 64 schools present, there were quite a few people present. The Girls 4x100m relay placed 7th overall, running 50.83. The team consisted of Ava Coffman, Maya Follmer, Aspen Watkins, and Kennadi Yoder. Follmer participated in two other events by herself, high jump and the 100m high hurdles. Follmer placed 7th in the hurdles, running 20.60 after a short spill over her last hurdle. Follmer jumped 15-9.75 that night as well, a great height for the sophomore. Diana Denemark also competed, running 2:21.93 in the 800m run, taking 6th overall. The girls brought the heat for the Wildcats yet again, and will continue to do so at their next meet. The Wildcats will be running at sub-sectionals on May 6th and 7th at Hendersonville High School.
