Boys Varsity Basketball · Winter–Boys Basketball–Wildcats Dominate Portland 69-35

Article by: AJ Hughes

The Wilson Central High School Boys Basketball team traveled to Portland last Friday to play their first game in 2021. The Wildcats played great in an important district game. Wilson Central put up more points on offense then they have in a game all season and they held Portland to only 35 points. That´s the lowest score against Wilson Central this season. This team hadn´t played in a regular season game in 20 days, but they showed no sign of rust as they came out and had their best game of the season. Wilson Central´s top two scorers, Zack Markus and Adler Kerr, both had a good game against Portland. Kerr dropped 21 points and showed off his hops with two dunks. Markus was the Wildcat´s second leading scorer with 15 points.

Wilson Central´s next game will be Tuesday January 12th against Hendersonville. The game will be limited to only family of the players so if you want to watch it, tune into our NFHS Network for a live broadcast of the game. Good luck Wildcats!
