Players Campbell Strange, Brill, and Angel all had great games individually. Strange scored 16 points total, bringing the fire with 3 steals, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists. Following Strange was Brill with 14 total points, as she was 6/10 for her free throws. Senior Angel scored 12 points total, was 3/3 for three pointers, and 4/4 for free throws. The success between these three girls gained the Lady Wildcats 42 of their 64 points. Jakoria Woods and Sydney Dalton also scored 9 and 7 respectively.   Kristen Smith, Alecia Winters, and Savannah Kirby topped the girls’ off with 2 points each, and the collective effort demonstrated the girls’ strength in the face of adversity. Although this was a devastating loss, the Central girls played well and to their strengths. As it is important to celebrate the small successes, the Wildcat supporters will wait in anticipation for a much bigger one.

The girls play Friday Feb 7 as they will be traveling to Station Camp. If you can’t make it you can watch the game live through the Station Camp NFHSnetwork facilities.     Let’s go Wildcats!
