The Wilson Central High School Boys Basketball team played their last regular season home game last night Feb 4 against the Gallatin Green Wave. The game did not go the Wildcats way as they ended up falling 54-32. Offense was a problem for the Wildcats last night as they only scored 32 points the whole game. The leading scorer for the Wildcats was the senior, Caleb Lawrence. Lawrence scored 6 points in the game, but there were a lot of players who scored points in last night’s game. Nine different players scored for the Wildcats against Gallatin, which is a good sign for the future. Beljowok Adaing had a very good game for Gallatin as he was 7 for 7 and scored 16 points. He also had 7 assists and 6 rebounds. Adaing scored all of his points near the basket because the Wildcats did a good job guarding the three point line. Gallatin was 4 for 12 in three point attempts last night.
The next game for the Boys Basketball team is at Station Camp this Friday. Last time the Wildcats played Station Camp, they won 68-67 in an overtime thriller. If this game is anything like the last one, it will be a very exciting game for the Wildcats. This is also a very important for the Wildcats as there are only three games left before the District 9AAA tournament hosted here at Wilson Central.
