The Boys Basketball team opened up the 2019-2020 Season at home on November 19th against Springfield. The Wildcats came out victorious 53-49 to start the season 1-0. Jordan Beard led the scoring for the Wildcats with 20 points shooting 7/13 from the floor and 1/4 from behind the arch. The Boys ended the First Quarter strong,up 12-11 with Jordan Beard scoring 10 points and
Maravich Bond scoring the other 2. The Wildcats sacrificed the lead at Half, down 28-26. Caleb Lawrence and Jordan Beard led Second Quarter scoring with 5 points each, followed by Seth Beck with 3, and finalized by Braiden Staten with 1 point. The Third Quarter Scoring was led by Caleb Lawrence and Connor Miller tallying 5 points each, trailed by Adler Kerr with 2 points. The Wildcats ended the game strong scoring 15 points total and securing the win. Jordan Beard and Caleb Lawrence scored 5 points each, followed by Adler Kerr with 3 and Maravich Bond with 2 points. Springfield’s scoring was led by Scott with 17 points and two 3 pointers followed by Chapman with 13 points and two 3 pointers. Wilson Central’s scoring was totaled by Caleb Lawrence with 15 points, Maravich Bond with 4 points, Connor Miller and Adler Kerr with 5 points total, Seth Beck with 3 points, and finished by Braiden Staten with 1 point. The Wildcats next game is Thursday, November 21st at Wilson Central High School against Shelbyville High School and will be broadcast live on the NFHS Network.
