Boys Varsity Swimming, Girls Varsity Swimming · Winter-Swimming–Wildcats and Lady Wildcats compete in the Middle Tennessee Swim Conference Invitational on Nov 10.

The WCHS Swim Team was outstanding in the MTSC Invitational Meet on Nov. 10.  The team finished 2nd out of 15 teams and scored better than all the other Wilson County high school teams!

The team was led by Senior Blaine Robinson who won 1st place in both the 200 and 500 Freestyle.  Freshman Leah Lannom won 1st in the 100 Breaststroke and achieved a regional-qualifying time in the event.  Other individual winners included Alexis Temple (2nd-50 Freestyle and 3rd-100 Freestyle), Kaitlyn Goode (2nd-100 Butterfly), Rose Miranda (3rd-100 Butterfly), Gracie Dixon (3rd-500 Freestyle and 3rd-100 Backstroke), and Taylor Dover (2nd-100 Breaststroke).

The girls’ relay teams had a good day winning 2nd and 3rd in the 200 Medley Relay and 2nd in the 200 Freestyle Relay.  The boys’ relay teams took 3rd in the 200 Medley Relay and 3rd in the 200 Freestyle Relay.  All of these teams had personal best times as well.

Individual swimmers who achieved personal best times include Michael McGrew, Chris Feliciano, isabella Fleming, Robin Yarbrough, Grayson Haley, Taylor Niggl, Sianna Baird, Sean Winfree, Bryce Massey, Leah Lannom, Harper Arant, Katie Arant, Harley Eighmey, Kevan Mehta, and Michael Ferguson.

Wilson Central will  have a head-to-head divisional meet on Nov. 15 against Cookeville High School at the Jimmy Floyd Center.
