Wilson Central was defeated for the first time this season, taking a 3-0 loss at the hands of the Lady Stars.
After a 6-0 start to the year, the Lady Cats looked to roll over Siegel for win number 7. The Lady Cats took the Lady Stars deep into every set, but Siegel ultimately took the win. The first set went to Siegel 22-25. This was similar to what White House Heritage did to the Lady Cats just a night prior. However, the Lady Stars also took the second set, this time 20-25. The Lady Cats now would have to come back from a 2-0 deficit to win the match. The last set went into an extra point, but Siegel took the last set 24-26 and the win 3-0.
Sydney Dalton led the team in kills with 10, and Nicole Brill followed with 9 kills, 3 aces, and 10 digs. Taryn Wilson had another 25+ dig game with 26.
The Lady Cats play their second straight road game at Smyrna tonight, looking to return to the win column on a 6-1 record. Junior Varsity begins at 5:00 p.m., and Varsity plays at 6:00 p.m.
