Girls Varsity Soccer · Fall– Girls Soccer–Lady Cats Drop Match to Devilettes 3-1

Last night, Tuesday, September 3, the Lady Wildcats soccer team faced off against Lebanon High School’s Devilettes for their first home match of the 2019 season. The Devilettes took the game 3-1, leaving the Lady Wildcats with another loss. The Devilettes scored the first goal. The Lady Wildcats followed and tied the game 1-1 with a penalty kick by Gracie Aric. After halftime, Lebanon nailed two more goals to make the final score 3-1. Sophia Block made several saves throughout the match, but on this night, the Lady Cats couldn’t handle the Devilettes.

Wilson Central’s next match will be September 10, when they host the Lady Bulldogs of Smyrna. The Lady Cats look for revenge after they were defeated by Smyrna on the road 6-0. The game begins at 7:00 p.m., and the game will be broadcast on the NFHS Network courtsey of the WCSN sports broadcast team.
