Girls Varsity Softball · Spring–Softball–Lady Cats Suffer 4-3 Heartbreaker to Lady Bears in District Tourney winners bracket final.

The Wilson Central Lady Wildcat Softball team advanced to the District 9AAA winners bracket final opposite Mount Juliet.  After the dust had cleared and the Heart rates went down, Mt. Juliet scored a 4-3 victory over the Lady Wildcats sending them into the losers bracket and waiting to play the winner of Lebanon and Station Camp. With Mt. Juliet being the higher seed, Wilson Central began the game with Kaylee Richetto slamming a 1-1 pitch to deep center   2-rbi doubles from The game was tied at three with Mount Juliet batting in the bottom of the sixth when Laney Tucker singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. Wilson Central got on the board in the first inning. Kaylee Richetto drove in one when she doubled. Emily Rowe hit a line drive and reached on an error by Mount Juliet’s center fielder while Richetto scored. Alyssa Costley was credited with the victory for Mount Juliet. She allowed three hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out four. Richetto took the loss for the Lady Cats. She went six innings, allowing four runs on six hits. The Lady Wildcats smacked one home run of the day. Richetto had a long ball in  the sixth inning. Richetto led Wilson Central with two hits in two bats. Mount Juliet racked up six hits in the game. Mekayla Draper and Karah Hood each had multiple hits for Mount Juliet.
