Girls Varsity Softball · Spring–Softball–Wilson Central Takes Victory Over Portland 7-3

Wilson Central traveled to Portland on April 9 Mekayla Marshall drove in three when she homered. The Lady Cats put up four runs in the fourth inning. Wilson Central scored its runs on an RBI grand slam by Kaylee Richetto. Kassidy Davis pitched the Lady Cats to victory. She lasted four innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out three. Sidney Link threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Fitzgerald took the loss for Portland. She surrendered seven runs on nine hits over seven innings, striking out one.

Wilson Central socked two home runs on the day. Marshall went yard in the first inning. Richetto went for the long ball in the fourth inning. The Lady Wildcats collected nine hits. Marshall, Davis, and Alaina Morris all managed multiple hits for Wilson Central. Morris, Davis, and Marshall all had two hits to lead the Lady Wildcats. Wilson Central was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Marshall made the most plays with eight. The Lady Cats will took on the Lady Bison of Station Camp on April 12 at 6:00pm
