Wilson Central defeated Gibbs High 6-1 in game 2 of the day March 22 after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at one with the Lady Wildcats batting in the top of the fourth when Mekayla Marshall hit a solo homer. Gibbs High opened up scoring in the first inning, when Sidney Link threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Gibbs High. Wilson Central knotted the game up at one in the top of the second inning, when an error scored one run for the Lady Cats. Wilson Central pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning. In the fourth Marshall hit a solo homer. The Lady Wildcats put up three runs in the sixth inning. Wilson Central offense in the inning came from singles by Kaylee Richetto and Taelor Chang and an error on a ball put in play by Sydnee Richetto. Link earned the win for the Lady Cats. She surrendered one run on three hits over six innings, striking out six. R Pendleton took the loss for Gibbs High. She allowed ten hits and six runs over six innings, striking out two and walking one. The Lady Wildcats tallied one home run on the day. Richetto led Wilson Central with three hits in four at bats.
