On Friday, March 22, the Wilson Central Wildcats went up against the Smyrna Bulldogs and on this night the Wildcats were victorious with a final score 4-2.
The Wildcats held dominance of the ball for the majority of the game. Senior player, Barrett Streeter, made the first goal of the game after Smyrna’s defense failed to keep Streeter away from the goal. Soon afterwards, Streeter made another goal for Wilson Central. Smyrna had a rebuttal and made a goal after Wildcat goalie Bayo Kaloshi failed to keep it out. The Wildcats were ecstatic with their goals against the Bulldogs, since Smyrna was the defending district champion from 2018 with a 11-4 record.
In the second half, Freshman player, Zack Anderson made it look easy scoring at the 37:14 mark of the half. Seventeen minutes later, Senior Sebi-Gal Chis made the last goal for the Wildcats. Smyrna scored their 2nd and final goal with 6:00 minutes left but was unable to make any more thanks to the swarming defense of the Wildcats.
The next game for the Wildcats will be Tuesday March 26 as they travel to Merrol Hyde in Gallatin. Game is scheduled to begin at 7:00.
Let’s go Wildcats!
