Girls Varsity Softball · Spring–Softball–Senior pitcher Sidney Link Holds Lady Commandos to One Hit in 15-0 Victory

These 5 Seniors are helping the Wilson Central Lady Wildcat Softball Team off to a quick start early this season. Senior Pitcher Sidney Link allowed a sole base hit on Tuesday, defeating Hendersonville in a 15-0 shutout.

She also had an outstanding performance at the plate, going 3-3 with two singles and a home run, amounting to 4 RBIs. The Lady Cats tallied 8 runs in the fourth inning, as Link, Shelby Moore, Kassidy Davis, Alaina Morris, and Kenzey Meador all powered runs across the plate.

Montana Ray’s second-inning single was Hendersonville’s only hit, as Link fanned 8 batters through five innings. Wilson Central’s 12-hit evening was topped by Link, Kaylee Richetto, and Alli Johnson, who each had a multi-hit game.

Link records her first win of the season with the shutout, and Ashlyn Hatfield takes the loss for Hendersonville, giving up 7 runs on 6 hits through 2.1 innings.

Also, congratulations to Kayleigh Vaught on tossing a NO HITTER against Hendersonville’s junior varsity squad.

The Lady Cats now sit at 2-0 and look to notch another W in the Commando Classic this weekend.
