Boys Varsity Wrestling · Winter–Wrestling–Wildcats Place Third in State, Competes in Individual Regionals


Wilson Central returned from the Williamson County Expo Center on February 2 placing as the third place finisher in the TSSAA state dual championships, going 5-1 in the tournament.

The Wildcats fell into the consolation bracket of the second round after losing to Bradley Central 35-30, but they battled back to gain the third place spot, defeating Tennessee High School 72-12, Arlington 44-30, Blackman 45-27, Centennial 51-25. This 5-1 record in the state tournament gave the Wildcats a 37-5 finish to their dual season, with their top wrestlers returning to the mat for individual regionals at Hendersonville High School this past weekend.
