Girls Varsity Basketball · Winter–Girls Basketball–Wilson Central Completes Sweep of Lady Commandos 51-34

The Lady Wildcats defeated Hendersonville for the second time this year as they traveled to Sumner County and won by the score of 51-34.

The Lady Wildcats shot 48% from the field, going 7-18 from three. Sydnee Richetto hit five of those, shooting an impressive 5-8 from the perimeter. Richetto also had 4 rebounds, 4 steals, and an assist, while putting up 19 points. Sydney Dalton dropped 8 points on the Lady Commandos  while picking up 4 rebounds. Miyaunna Cason and Dottie McSpadden also had 4 rebounds, and Jasmine Angel led Lady Cat rebounding with 7.

Brette Taylor led scoring for the Lady Commandos with 15 points while dishing out a pair of assists. Janaeya Mayes had 2 rebounds on top of her 10 points, and Ellen Tate Baker put up a three along with 3 rebounds and an assist. The Lady Commandos only had 15 rebounds compared to Wilson Central’s 35, and the Lady Cats shut out Hendersonville in steals 12-0.

The Lady Wildcats improved to 14-6, and traveled to Beech on January 22 to take on the Lady Bucs looking to split their matchups 1-1.
