Boys Varsity Swimming, Girls Varsity Swimming · Winter–Swim–Wilson Central VS Centennial

      The Wilson Central Swim Team competed against Centennial High School on Saturday, Jan. 5.  While the team came in second, the Boys won overall against Centennial’s Boys!  Several swimmers had personal best times and won or placed in individual events.
     The Girls 200 Medley Relay team took 2nd place.  Two Boys 200 Medley Relay teams took 2nd and 3rd.  Later the Wildcat Girls 200 Freestyle Relay teams took 1st and 3rd place, and the Boys 200 Freestyle Relay teams took 2nd and 3rd.  In the final event of the day, the Girls 400 Freestyle Relay team placed 3rd while the Boys 400 Freestyle Relay teams placed 2nd and 3rd.
     Individual event winners include Madisen Williams who placed 2nd in 200 Freestyle as well as took FIRST in 100 Breaststroke, Evan Freeman, who got FIRST in both the 200 Freestyle and the 100 Freestyle, Logan Baker placed 3rd in 200 Freestyle, 2nd 100 in Butterfly, Blaine Robinson placed 2nd in 200 IM and FIRST in 100 Butterfly, Harper Arant took 3rd in 200 IM, Alexis Temple placed 2nd in 50 Freestyle, Betsey Meleg got 3rd in 500 Freestyle, Brandon Hamm placed 3rd in 500 Freestyle, Gage Working took 2nd in 100 Backstroke and FIRST in 500 Freestyle, Alex Kolesnikoff placed 3rd in 100 Backstroke, Taylor Dover got 2nd in 100 Breaststroke, Alex Lam took 2nd in 100 Breaststroke, Isaiah Casey placed 3rd in 100 Breaststroke, and Mia Harris took FIRST in 200 IM as well as FIRST in 100 Butterfly.
     The Cats will compete in the Wilson County Championships on Jan. 18 at the Jimmy Floyd Center.  Central has been the County Champions for eight years in a row, so they have high hopes for defending that title.  This will also be Senior Night for the team.  GO CATS!
