Boys Varsity Swimming, Girls Varsity Swimming · Winter—Swim—Wilson Central competes against Franklin in swimming

Congratulations to the Wilson Central Swim Team for a great meet against Franklin on November 15!  While the team came up short of a win, several swimmers won events and had personal best times.

     The Women’s 200 Medley Relay team of Madisen Williams, Kaila Hopper, Alexis Temple, and Mia Harris took second place. The Men’s 200 Medley Relay team of Blaine Robinson, Evan Freeman, Gage Working, and Logan Baker won FIRST place, and later took FIRST place as well with the same team competing in the Men’s 200 Freestyle Relay! In both events, they made new personal bests. The Women’s 200 Freestyle Relay team of Madisen Williams, Paige Danly, Alexis Temple, and Mia Harris won second place, making a personal best time as well. Especially exciting was the second Men’s 200 Freestyle Relay team took third place, and the Women’s 400 Freestyle Relay team won third place.

   Individual event winners include Madisen Williams (1st in 200 Freestyle, 1st in 500 Freestyle), Blaine Robinson (1st in 200 Freestyle, 1st in 100 Backstroke), Mia Harris (1st in 200 IM, 1st in 100 Butterfly), Evan Freeman (1st in 200 IM, 1st in 100 Freestyle), Gage Working (1st in 100 Butterfly, 1st in 500 Freestyle), Sadie Patrick (3rd in 500 Freestyle), and Taylor Dover (2nd in 100 Breaststroke).

A record number of swimmers achieved personal best times including Betsey Meleg, Kaila Hopper, Dasha Williams, Evan Freeman, Logan Baker, Cailin Aguilera, Bryce Massey, Jeremy Eduave, Dillon Haines, Harley Eighmey, Isaiah Casey, Connor Maxwell, Alex Kolesnikoff, Rose Miranda, Michael Ferguson, Blaine Robinson, Mia Harris, Madisen Williams, Gage Working, Taylor Niggl, Riva Elshorst, Alexis Davis, Gretchen Karl, Paige Danly, Alexis Temple, and Carrington Crowson.

Special thanks to Mrs. Ankney, Mr. Bevis, Mrs. Grant, and Mrs Mattingly for coming to support the team at recent meets.  The Cats will be swimming at Vanderbilt this Wednesday against Father Ryan on Nov. 28th.
