Hendersonville and Wilson Central faced off in a tense game which ended in a loss for Wilson Central 38-14. To start off the game, Wilson Central scored with 09:06 left in the first quarter as Senior Wildcat Quarterback Dylan Carpenter, ran for 4 yards while Stratton Farmer kicked the PAT. With 5:15 showing on the clock Hendersonville answered with a Ashton Dodd 32 yard field goal making the score 7-3 Wildcats. Going into the 2nd quarter, Hendersonville scored once again when Senior running back Derek Kincaid, ran for 12 The PAT was good by Dodd. As the the 2nd quarter came to an end, Commando Damion Chandler threw a halfback pass to Cameron Stevens for a 69 yard touchdown. Ashton Dodd kick the extra point to make the halftime score 17-7.
As the the second half began, Hendersonville scored as receiver Nate Hancock ran for 38 yards with another Ashton PAT making the score 24-7 . Wilson Central answered with :07 left in the quarter as Carpenter threading the needle between two defenders to find Ladarius Stewart for 26 yard touchdown reception drawing the Wildcats a little closer, 24-14. Hendersonville scored twice more in the 4th quarter beginning with a Kincaid run of 8 yards and a short 3-yd pass from Drew Hohenbrink to tight end Austin Halas to make the final score 38-14.
