Over the last weekend of September, our Wildcat’s Cross Country team went to Louisville Kentucky to participate at the Greater Louisville Classic. The race went exceptionally well with the weather being cool and a lot of our runners making personal records. This meet held runners from Elementary school to College Students. For our team, only Girl’s and Boy’s varsity ran. For each race there was over 50 teams, and roughly 400 students running each. Here are the results:
The Boy’s Varsity team’s best runner was Alex Galligan placing 73rd and running with a time of 17:21. Andrew Farber placed at 102nd and ran a 17:38. Jacob Harzbecker placed at 186th with a time of 18:32. Russel Riggan placed at 230th with a time of 18:55. Tristain Lee was 4 places behind him with a time of 18.56. Trailing right behind Tristan was Elliott Hughes also with a time of 18:56. Austin Garcia placed at 258th with a time of 19:12.
For the Girl’s Varsity team, Makenna Merkley placed 146th with a time of 22:16. Kaylee Wilson placed 174th with a time of 22:42. Bethany Farber placed 223rd with a time of 23:36. Kaitlyn Randolph placed at 273rd with a time of 22:34. Mia Jones placed at 277th with a time of 24:40. Alexis Garcia placed 321st with a time of 25:19. Haven Thompson placed 342nd with a time of 27:49.
Next weekend, our Cross Country team is commuting to Danville Alabama for the Jesse Owen’s Classic. If you can’t make it the Article will be up the following Monday with all of the results. The Wildcat Nation is excited for our Wildcats!!
