Boys Varsity Golf, Girls Varsity Golf · Fall–Golf–Trey Melvin finishes TSSAA State Tournament on rainy note.

Trey Melvin participated in the Golf State Tournament this week. The State Tournament is played and the golfer who shoots the lowest score, inevitably, wins the match. On normal circumstances they would have played Tuesday and Wednesday September 25th and 26th. Unfortunately, due to weather, they played one round on the 25th and completely cancelled the final round on the 26th. Golfers said “It was like we were playing on a sponge,” during the first match. Trey shot an  78 in the state Tournament as Coach Burke is extremely proud of the way Trey played and wishes that the weather would have held up. This Tournament concludes the 2018 Golf Season for Wilson Central High School. Congratulations to Trey and the rest of the Wildcats and Lady Wildcats on an amazing season.
