Tuesday night May 8th, the Lady Wildcats played Mount Juliet Lady Bears in the second round of the District 9AAA tournament but unfortunately suffered a heartbreaking loss with the final score of Wilson Central 3, Mount Juliet 6. Mount Juliet got the game going in the first inning when Tiffany Cargile singled on a 2-1 count scoring 0ne run. In the top of the second inning the Lady Wildcats tied things up at one when Julia Barnett hit a solo homer. Ashley Foster was in the pitchers circle for the Lady Cats as she went four and third innings, allowing f0ur runs on seven hits, striking out one and walking zero. Kassidy Davis threw one and two thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Wilson Central blasted two home runs for the game. The Lady Wildcats scattered eight hits in the game. Alaina Morris and Sydney Richetto both managed multiple hits for Wilson Central. The Wilson Central Lady Wildcats will play again tonight Wednesday May 9th at 5:00pm against Portland. With a win will allow the Lady Wildcats to advance on in the tournament to play again at 7:00 against the winner of Beech and Station Camp.
