Boys Varsity Wrestling · Wrestling–Michael Kramer and Hunter Borders crowned INDIVIDUAL STATE CHAMPIONS of TSSAA.

Wilson Central Wrestlers Michael Kramer and Hunter Borders were crowned as the TSSAA Individual Tournament Champoins in their respective weight classes.  Kramer, a junior, pinned his way to the 285 lb class championship claiming his first state crown.  Kramer who has been wrestling since he was 4yrs old captured the championship with a pin over Tullahoma’s Luke Champion.  As the season progressed, many assumed that Kramer would win the championship having lost in the final match just a year ago.

This was not the case with his teammate Hunter Borders.  Borders, just a freshmen, continued to shine throughout the season claiming his own championship in the 113 weight class division over Memphis Bartlett’s Gabe O’Callaghan. Borders could conceivably claim another championship in higher classes as he gets older.  Only time will tell.

The Wildcat Nation would like to send their congratulations to both Michael Kramer and Hunter Borders for claiming their STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS in the TSSAA.
