The Wildcats fell to District 10AAA Champion Clarksville Northeast 55-39 in the Region 5AAA quarterfinals on Saturday night. The Wildcats came out of the gate scoring at will as Senior Kyzick Schweppe hit for 9 points on 3–three point shots. The Wildcats continued to play with Northeast and match scoring opportunities until late in the 2nd quarter as Eagle Junior Alec Kegler scored almost half of his total of 28 points in the 1st and second keeping the Eagles just beyond reach of the Wildcats. Halftime score was 27-19 as Clarksville hits near the final horn to make the score 27. The defense of the Wildcats held all but 3 Eagle players scoreless throughout the 2nd half however Kegler was the go to player for Clarksville. The 6’6 Junior scored at will throughout the 2nd half to keep Clarksville with a safe lead as the Wildcats just could not match offensive scoring. Wilson Central placed 6 players in the scoring column causing problems for the Northeast Eagles. Senior Gavin Johnson led the Wildcats in his last game with 11. He was followed by fellow Seniors Schweppe with 9, Kito Aruh 8, Kene Aruh 6. Junior Daniel Jackson scored 4 and Naz Czeskleba with 1.
