Volleyball–Lady Wildcats claim District Tournament Runner-up falling to Lebanon during Fall Break Advanced to Regionals.

The Lady Wildcats advanced to the Championship Game of the District 9AAA Volleyball Tournament just before fall break with a win over Mt. Juliet. That win qualified Wilson Central to take on Regular season champion Lebanon for the District Tournament Championship and a trip to the Regional Tournament to take on District 10 Champion Station Camp.
The Lady Cats lost their bid for the district crown as Lebanon won the match in 3 sets by the scores of 25-18, second set 25-10, and the third set 25-14. Sophomore Emilee McDonald ended the tournament with 9 digs and 16 assists. Junior Mallory Weir completed the tournament with 2 kills and 2 blocks.
The Lady Wildcats advanced to play Station Camp in the Regional tournament however, Wilson Central lost to the Lady Bison in 3 sets to end their 2017 campaign. The first set was lost scoring 25-11, the second set 25-16, and the third set 25-20. Sophomore Nicole Brill finished the match with 4 digs, 5 kills, and 3 blocks as Sophomore Grayce Guethlein completed the game with 8 digs.
The Lady Wildcats ended their season with the loss making their overall record 14-15. It also was the last game in the high school careers of Seniors Hannah Potts and Kathryn Bean. The Wildcat Nation would like to send their best wishes and luck to Hannah and Kathryn……. GO WILDCATS!!!!!!
