The Wilson Central Lady Wildcats played a close game against the Mount Juliet Lady Bears at home. The Lady Wildcats were on fire during the first two of what ended in a five set marathon. The first set ended with Wilson Central on top scoring 25-10. In the second set the Lady Wildcats continued their play, winning with the score 25-15. In the third set Wilson Central came close and fought hard, staying next to Mount Juliet the whole time, but ended up dropping the set 24-26. The fourth set was a difficult set for the Lady Wildcats. With this being said, the Lady Bears tied the match at 2-2. In the fifth and final set, the Lady Wildcats gave it their all, but it was not enough as the Lady Bears won the set 10-15 and the match 3-2. Sophomore Nicole Brill ended the game scoring 10 digs, 2 aces, 7 kills, 1 block, and 2 assists. Senior, Hannah Potts ended the game with 2 digs, 6 kills, and 3 blocks.
The JV lost in three sets. The first set was won by the Lady Cats scoring 25-22. The second set was lost with the score 20-25 and the third was also lost 6-15.
In the Freshmen match, Wilson Central’s Lady Wildcats were on fire and stayed that way through their whole match winning in 3 sets. The first set was lost with the score 22-25. The second set was won scoring 25-16 along with the third set 15-13. Their next match will be Thursday September 28th at Wilson Central against Smyrna. It will be senior night with JV starting at 5:00 and Varsity at 6:00.
