Boys Varsity Bowling, Girls Varsity Bowling · Bowling—Lady Wildcats roll over Mt. Juliet and Beech—Boys defeat Beech

The Wilson Central Boys and Girls Bowling teams opened their 2017 season this past Monday with the Lady Wildcats taking care of business over their arch rival, the Lady Golden Bears of  Mount Juliet by the final score of 22.5 to 4.5.   Mount Juliet’s top two leading scorers, Emily Glover and Eva Harris were not able to pull enough strings for the Lady Bears.  The match was dominated by the Lady Wildcats scoring 2517 total pin falls vs 2501 for Mt. Juliet. IMG_7638Lady Wildcat Senior Megan Metz–continued her winning ways from last year scoring 3 points with a total pinfall of 547 while sensational up and coming Sophomore Zaylen Hudson had 3 points and a pinfall of 441 . Kristina Walls had a pinfall total of 438 with 2 points to help Wilson Central in their first win of the season.

The Wildcats did not have an easy time with the Bears as Mt. Juliet took the match by the score of 18-9.  Total pin drops for both teams were close as Wilson Central had 2,816 to Mt. Juliet 2,942 making the average of 980 to 938.  Leading scorers for the Wildcats were Brendan Young rolling a 582 series, Jared Violi at 485 and Landon Edmondson with a 477.  


The Girls continued their pace with the Lady Bucs of Beech High School winning their 2nd match is an many days.  The Lady Wildcats again rolled a match high 2371 to 1697 pin drop making the final score 26-1.  Again, Senior Megan Metz rolled a matchIMG_7637 high 496 series followed by Kristin Sheffield’s 432 and Zaylen Hudson’s 413.  

IMG_7639The Boys won their first match of the year  defeating Beech by the final score of 18-9.  Total pin drop for the teams were in favor of the Wildcats 2902 to 2791.  Leading the way for the Wildcats was Jared Violi with an amazing match high series of 604.  He was followed by Landon Edmondson and Anthony Young with 552 and 528 respectively.


The boys and girls will again take to the lanes on Thursday Sept 28 traveling to Gallatin to take on the Green Wave.
