The Lady Wildcats hosted the Lebanon Lady Blue Devils on Tuesday and lost a much closer match than the final score of 3-1 indicated as Lebanon improved to 17-2 on the season. The match was decided by a total of 14 points overall. The first set was captivated by a gutsy performance from Wilson Central who grabbed the early lead of 1-0 by the set score of 25-23. The second set belonged to Lebanon by the score of 25-21. The third set was a carbon copy of the second as the Lady Blue Devils took the set 25-21. Entering the 4th set trailing 3-1, the Lady Wildcats played with an exceptional desire to win as they had the entire night, however, the Lady Wildcats dropped the set to Lebanon 25-22. Playing well for the Lady Wildcats was sophomore Nicole Brill who tallied 13 digs, 2 aces, 4 kills, and 1 assist. Sophomore Emilee McDonald collected 10 digs, 1 ace, 1 kill, 1 block, and 17 assists.
The JV played as well losing in two sets 13-25 in the first set and 18-25 in the second set.
The Freshman Lady Wildcats took their win against Lebanon last night, and captured their match in two sets scoring 25-22 in the first set and 25-20 in the second set.
The Lady Wildcats next match will be Thursday September 21st in a big district game at LaVergne with JV starting at 5 and Varsity at 6. GO LADY WILDCATS!!!!!!!!!!
