On September 6, 2017, Wilson Central Lady Wildcats had a tough loss to the Oakland Lady Patriots. Wilson Central lost in the first 2 sets with scores of 20-25, 14-25. They fought back in the third set with a score of 25-18 winner, but ending up short in the last set 21-25. Sophomore, Emilee McDonald had 4 digs, 5 kills, 2 blocks, and 25 assists. Senior, Kathryn Bean had 7 kills and 4 blocks.

JV Lady Wildcats, however was on fire and won both of their sets 25-8 and 25-23.

Wilson Central Lady Wildcats played the Smyrna Lady Bulldogs at Smyrna on September 7th. Varsity won in 4 sets. The first set was won by the Lady Wildcats with the score of 25-20, as well as the second set with the score 25-17. The third set was captured by the Lady Bulldogs with the score 24-26. However, the Lady Cats came back in the fourth set and won the match with the score 29-27. Faith Moorhead played an excellent game with 13 digs, 1 ace, and 18 kills. Emilee McDonald added  5 digs, 1 ace, 7 kills, and 39 assists.

JV played well and won in two sets with the scores 25-27 and 25-12. Their next match will be on September 11th at home against McGavock.
