On August 17th, the Lady Wildcats lost to the Mount Juliet Lady Bears by the score of 4-1. Mount Juliet scored at the 20th minute, making it 1-0. Central came back at the 25th minute of the firsts half with a score by Olivia Moser, who had assists from Gracie Aric and Emma Brewer. Mount Juliet came back to take the lead 2-1 at half time. In the second half, Mt. Juliet scored twice making the score 4-1 at the 20th minute. Central scored at the 10th minute, with a corner shot from Olivia Moser. Junior Goalie Dottie Mcspadden had 7 saves.
Monday, August 21st, Wilson Central played The Lebanon Lady Blue Devils. The score ended in a 3-3 tie. Central was down 2-0 with under 10 minutes left in the first half when Emma Brewer scored with an assist from Cerenitie Hudson. The Lady Wildcats scored again just before halftime, making it 2-1 Lady Blue Devils. The Lady Cats scored in the second half at the 37th minute, making the score 2-2. Wilson Central captured the lead when Lexi Arin scored off of Emma Brewer’s 2 assists making it 3-2 Lady Cats. Lebanon tied it up with 16 minutes left to make the final score 3-3. Junior Dottie McSpadden collected 6 saves to preserve the tie.
On August 22nd, Wilson Central defeated LaVergne High School 2-1 to capture their first win and more importantly a district win of the young 2017 season. Lexi Hardin scored at the 25th minute off an assist by Emma Brewer to take the lead at halftime 1-0. Lady Wildcat Olivia Moser got fouled in the box which led to a Emma Brewer penalty kick to extend their lead 2-0 lead at the 36th minute. LaVergne followed with a goal of their own at the 32nd minute to trim the lead to 2-1. Then mother nature entered the contest and forced a delay due to lightning. After the 30 minute delay, the game was called at the 30th giving the Lady Wildcats their first win of the season. Wilson Central’s record now stands at 2 wins and 1 loss. The Lady Wildcats next match will be August 24 taking on the Lady Bulldogs of Smyrna High School.
