Lebanon—The Wildcat Soccer team improved to 9-3-2 on the season with a win over county opponent Lebanon Monday night. Senior James Graham completed a perfect hat trick scoring in the 10th minute (assist Tyler Gilbert), the 13th minute (assist Julio Cervantes), and the 63rd minute(assist Yovany Rayo). Also scoring for the Wildcats was Junior Jaime Torres in the 51st minute (assist Julio Cervantes). The final score against Lebanon was 4 -1. Wilson Central travels to Central Magnet in Murfreesboro on Thursday (5/4) and completes the regular season against district opponent Portland High School on Friday (5/5). With a district record of 3-1-2, the Wildcats are in the running for 2nd or 3rd seed going into the district tournament that begins on Monday, May 8th.
In Junior Varsity action, the Wildcats got out to an early lead and never looked back, taking down Lebanon 4-2. Jaime Torres opened scoring in the first minute (assist Xhonathan Kaloshi) and struck again in the 10th minute (assist Eusebiu Gal-Chis). Eusebiu Gal-Chis also scored twice for the Wildcats, in the 5th minute on a corner served by Will Lafollette, and in the 17th minute (assist Lafollette and Cesar Hurtado). The JV improves to 6-2-1 with their final game of the season being played Thursday (5/4) at Central Magnet.
