Gladeville—Wilson Central won soundly over Gallatin with a 10 to 4 victory. The Lady Wildcats came out strong in the top of the 3rd with a bases loaded triple by Kaylee Richetto that brought in 3 runs. In the top of the 4th Wilson Central had a repeat of the third only this time they scored 5 runs. It started with a RBI single by Alaina Morris that brought in 1 run. The next batter, Claire Smith, got an RBI single that brought in 1 run. A couple plays later Brooke Pfefferle got an RBI single that brought in 2 runs. Gallatin made an error on the next play that brought in 1 run. That was the last of the Lady Wildcats 5 runs in the 4th. Gallatin scored 1 run in the bottom of the 4th to put the score at 8 to 1. In the bottom of the 5th Gallatin scored 1 run to make the score 8-2 only to see the Lady Wildcats answer in the top of the 6th with 2 runs. Kenzey Meador hit a sacrifice to bring in 1 run while Morgan Stokes hit a single to bring in the last run for the Lady Wildcats. Gallatin tried to battle back by answering with 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th. That would be the last runs scored by either team to make the final score 10-4.
The Lady Wildcats had 13 hits as a team. Claire Smith, Kaylee Richetto, Alaina Morris, and Morgan Stokes all collected multiple hits for Wilson Central.
Wilson Central spotted Portland 2 runs in the top of the first inning but it didn’t take the Lady Wildcats long however as they scored 2 of their own in the bottom of the 1st to make the score 2-2. The score remained deadlocked until Wilson Central scored 6 runs in the bottom of the fifth and another 3 in the 6th inning to put the game away and allow the Lady Wildcats to take the win 11-2. Kaylee Richetto, Brooke Pfefferle, Morgan Stokes and Kenzie Meador each drove in 2 runs for Wilson Central to take the win.
