GLADEVILLE— The Wilson Central girls tennis team made quick work of District 9-AAA foe Gallatin taming the Lady Green Wave 7-0 at Wilson Central High School.
Wilson Central (3-1 in District 9-AAA, 3-3 overall) established themselves early on in doubles as seniors Jennifer Beckham and Lani Lee who were seeing their first action this season at the one doubles position, easily disposed of Grace and Autumn Pincock 8-3.
Junior Cassie Joslin and sophomore Savannah Westbrook ensured a 2-0 lead going into singles as the pair defeated Kayla Spurlock and Jessica Pincock 8-0.
The Lady Wildcats dominated the singles portion of the match by only dropping four games out of a possible 48.


Beckham was first off the court with a quick 8-0 win over Luna, and Joslin came off almost immediately after Beckham as the junior routed Spurlock 8-0.
Sophomore Sydney Miller dropped Gallatin’s Kinzy Cardoza 8-0 while Lee defeated Autumn Pincock at the number two singles position 6-0, 6-0.
Westbrook, who was playing her first match of the year at the number one singles position, bested Grace Pincock 6-0, 6-0.
The girls will host White House on Wednesday, April 5 and will be back at home on Friday as they entertain Station Camp in a non-district meeting. Start times are 4 pm.
