Multiple Teams · Basketball–Lady Wildcat Addison Byrd named 1st team ALL-STATE player

The Wildcat Nation of Wilson Central High School sends out congratulations to Lady Wildcat Senior Forward ADDISON BYRD for being named to the Tennessee Basketball All-State 1st Team by the IMG_1304TWSA–Tennessee Sports Writers Association.  Byrd joins such former Lady Wildcat greats as Jasmine Hassell and Kendall Spray who have been selected in the past.  A 3 year starter for Wilson Central Head Coach John Wild, Byrd IMG_1303averaged 14.7 points per game hitting  51.8% of her shots hitting 157 three’s for her career, scoring 1452 pts and hitting 79% of her free throw shots..  As a Senior, she hit 54% from the field hitting 104 3-point shots and scoring 556 points and hitting 82% of her free throws while rebounding 144 times.  Addison elected to take her talents to the next level signing a scholarship with Carson-Newman in Jefferson City, Tennessee under Lady Eagle Head Coach Mike Mincey.  mike minceyOnce again the Wildcat Nation salutes Addison Byrd on being selected 1st team All-State Class AAA for the State of Tennessee
