Girls Varsity Tennis · Tennis- Lady Wildcats score win over Station Camp 6-1

Hendersonville—After a pair of losses to Mt. Juliet and Blackman, respectively, the Wilson Central girls returned to form with a 6-1 win over the Lady Bison.
Wilson Central (2-1 in district, 2-3 overall) came out hot with wins at 1 and 2 doubles.
Junior Cassie Joslin and sophomore Savannah Westbrook rolled to an 8-3 win at the 1 position.  Seniors Jennifer Beckham and Lani Lee’s 8-0 win gave the Lady Wildcats a 2-0 lead going into singles play.

IMG_6292Beckham was 1st off the court with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Meredith Ashley at the 4 singles position. Westbrook followed suit with the clinching win as she defeated Natalie Major 6-1, 6-0 at the number 2 position for the 4-0 lead.
Joslin earned a quick 6-2, 6-0 win at the number 3 position over Makala Downey, and sophomore Alexandria Roanhouse earned an 8-2 outcome over Arrianna Bean for the sixth point for Wilson Central.
Lee lost a hard-fought match at number 1 singles against Menon 2-6, 6-2, (6-10).

Wilson Central would have been back in action Thursday March 30 at Drakes Creek Park vs. perennial district power Hendersonville, however, weather related issues caused this match to be postponed.  A date to re-schedule this match has not been determined.
