The Wilson Central Boys soccer team defeated Glencliff High School Wednesday night 2-1. After a slow start, giving up a goal in the 15th minute, the team rallied for the win. Sophomore Mo Awad (unassisted) drilled a lower right corner shot at the 30 minute mark to even the score going into halftime. The Wildcats second game winning goal came in the 50th minute from Sophomore Lucas Anderson on a corner kick served from Senior James Graham. The Wildcats hold a 3-1 record heading into Friday’s home game with Coffee County with kickoff slated for 7:00.
Wildcats Junior Varsity opened their season with a 3-2 win over Glencliff. The Wildcats were persistent after giving up two early goals to rally for the win. Goals were scored by Julio Suarez (unassisted), Dalton Peck (Bryson Goode assisting), and Xhonathan Kaloshi (Bryson Goode assisting). The Junior Varsity will square off with Coffee County on Friday at 5:00.
