Swimming—Opens 2017-18 season with meet at Jimmy Floyd’s in Lebanon

Congratulations to the Wilson Central Swim Team for a great first meet on Friday night! The team came up short in total points against Franklin, but many of the swimmers had great races and personal best times.

Third place winners included Andrew Seiber and the relay team of Alexis Temple, Cora Derr, Kaila Hopper, and Betsey Meleg. Second place winners included Blaine Robinson, Mia Harris, Chloe Mulford, Sarah Potter, Gage Working, Savana Clayton, Evan Freeman, and Andrew Seiber.

swim2The first place winners in individual events included Sarah Potter, Evan Freeman, Mia Harris, Gage Working, and Madisen Williams. The boys 200 freestyle relay team of Gage Working, Andrew Seiber, Evan Freeman, and Blaine Robinson won a convincing victory over Franklin, and the girls relay teams of Chloe Mulford, Madisen Willilams, Savana Clayton, Sarah Potter, and Mia Harris defeated Franklin in both the 200 Medley and 200 Freestyle races. All Central swimmers had good swims and helped add points to the team.

The Cats compete next at the MTSC Invitational on Nov. 11 at Jimmy Floyd Fitness Center then they go head to head against Father Ryan on Nov. 13 at Vanderbilt. Good Luck, Wildcats!
