Wildcat Sports return for the 2017 school year—Golf teams win 1st of the season

Wilson Central’s boys and girls golf team’s started the season on a high note with a victories over Macon County.  The boys defeated Macon County by a low score of  322 to 344. The Wildcats won by a total of 22 strokes. The Lady Wildcats also defeated Macon County by a total of 13 strokes scoring a 159 to 172 over the Lady Tigers.

Trey Melvin led the Wildcats with a score of 74 followed by  Andrew Lena and Mason Adcock with each scoring a round of 84.

The Lady Wildcats were led by Senior Meryl Castle with a score of 78. Kristen Fredericks shot an 81 while Senior Hannah Roberts posted a 92 as Central moved their record to 1-0..

Wilson Central’s next match will be against Mt Juliet and Portland for 9 holes on August 10 at Windtree Golf Course in Mt. Juliet.
