Softball–Lady Wildcats put 3 more victories in the win column.

The Lady Wildcats captured 3 more wins in two days as Wilson Central defeated Station Camp 6-2  and 8-3.  The following day the defeated Portland 13 -6 in a see saw affair.

Game 1 Station Camp 6-2  win

Wilson Central defeated Station Camp in game one of a double header by the score of 6-2.  In the first inning,  Wilson Central scored when Kaylee Richetto singled on a hard ground ball to left field allowing Claire Smith to score the first run.
In the top of the 5th, Richetto singled again to left field scoring P Robinson. With the bases loaded with Smith on 3rd Richetto on 2nd and Morris on 1st, Eboni Jordan’s doubles on a line drive to left field fence  allowing Smith, Richetto and Alaina Morris to cross the plate.

The Lady Wildcats jump out to a 2-0 lead and never looked back as Wilson Central took game two 8-2.  The Lady Wildcats out hit the Lady Bison 8 to 5 to scoring 2 runs in the 1st, 3 in the 4th and 3 in the 6th to capture another win for  Wilson Central.

Wilson Central came out some what sluggish.  Having played a double header the day before at Station Camp, the Lady Wildcats traveled to Portland and after scoring 1 run in the top of the 1st spotted Portland 6 runs through 2 innings and trailed 6-1.  But then, here comes the Ladies of the Glade who out hit Portland 18-9 scoring 8 runs in the 5th, 4 in the 6th to ice the game and take another District 9AAA victory.  The 5th inning started out with a huge home run by Senior Claire Smith as she crushed the softball over deep center field making the score 6-2.  Wilson Central followed her highlight with 5 more hits and eventually batted around to Smith for the second time in the inning.

The next inning (6th) Wilson Central continue their offensive production scoring another 4 runs to to end the game 13-6.
