Soccer—Wildcats take Mt. Juliet 2-1 to improve record to 8-2

The Wilson Central Boys’ Soccer team improved to 8-2 on the season with a win over district and county rival Mt. Juliet.  Much of the success Wednesday night rests on the shoulders of Senior Keeper Kellen Lively as he recorded 10 saves only allowing Mt. Juliet to record a goal on a penalty kick in the last seconds of the first half. Scoring for the Wildcats were Casey Bramble in the 4th minutes (Assist from Hayden Woodrow) and Kiefer in the 24th minute (Assist from Adam Williams).  The final score of the game was 2-1.47a7da33b3127cce9854c02e550e00000030100CZtmjJm2ctC The Wildcats have three district games scheduled for next week: Gallatin at home on 4/18 (7:00 kickoff), at Hendersonville on 4/20 (7:00 kickoff), and at home against Portland on 4/22 (2:00 kickoff).
 
The Wilson Central Junior Varsity tied the47a7da33b3127cce9854c00dd41d00000030100CZtmjJm2ctC Mt. Juliet squad with a final score of 0-0. The Wildcats put several shots on goal but neglected to find the back of the net to break the tie. The Junior Varsity team will host district opponent Hendersonville on 4/19 with a 6:00 kickoff.
