Soccer–Wildcats claim win No. 6 over Pope John Paul 4-0. Record now stands at 6-1

Wilson Central’s Boys Soccer team improved to 6-1 on the season with a win over Pope John Paul II in Hendersonville on Saturday afternoon April 1. IMG_6484The team left little doubt in the outcome of the game going into halftime with a 4-0 lead which would also be the final score. Casey Bramble started off the scoring with a goal from distance in the third minute assisted by Adam Williams. IMG_6478James Graham put the Wildcats at a 2-0 advantage in the 17th minute  (assist Williams). A second goal was scored by Bramble in the 34th minute (unassisted) with the final goal coming from Yovany Rayo (assisted by Kiefer) in the 36th minute. Wilson Central dominated time of possession and played their most complete game of the season thus far. The team will host Beech High School on Tuesday (4/4) at 7:00 in the season’s first district match.

 

IMG_6473Junior Varsity was also victorious defeating JPII 2-1. Sophomore Eusebiu Gal-Chis scored both goals for the Wildcats (Penalty in the 25th minute and another goal in the 74th minute).

The team improves to 3-0 on the season and faces Beech at home on Tuesday with kickoff at 5:00.
