Softball– Lady Wildcats Fall To Beech On Walk-off Homerun

A walk-off home run left Wilson Central on the wrong end of a 3-2 defeat to Beech on Tuesday. The game was tied at 2 with Beech batting in the bottom of the 7th when Kailey Brown homered off of Kaylee Richetto, driving in 1 run.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Beech pitchers struck out 4, while The Lady Wildcats sat down 5.
Wilson Central took an early lead in the 1st inning. Ashley Foster singled on the 1st pitch at bat in the 1st inning, scoring 1 run.
Mackenzie Williams earned the win for Beech. She pitched 7 innings, surrendering 2 runs, 6 hits, and striking out 4. Kaylee Richetto took the loss for Wilson Central As she threw 5 and 2/3 innings, surrendering 3 runs, 5 hits, striking out 5, and walking zero.

Richetto and Foster each drove in one run to lead the LadyWildcats.

Next game is Wednesday at Mt Juliet
