Tennis–Wildcats remain undefeated winning over Blackman 7-2. Andrew Denning Clinches match with 9-8 win

LEBANON—– The Wildcats ran their record to 3-0 with a 7-2 win over Blackman Friday afternoon.
Sophomore Michael Mercante and Houston Wood picked up 8-0 and 8-2 wins, respectively to give the Wildcats the early advantage.
Senior Sean Moran gave Wilson Central a 3-0 lead with an 8-2 victory over Mitchell Gale, and Wildcat junior Braden Hammer extended the lead with an 8-4 outcome over Matt Souriya.
NK1A5083Junior Andrew Denning clinched the match in an exciting tiebreaker for Wilson Central with a 9-8 (13) win over Simon Micheal.
Senior Akbar Rahmani and Houston Wood continued their undefeated stretch thus far in the season in doubles, claiming an 8-2 win as did Denning and Mercante, who were victorious by an 8-2 count.

Wilson Central will open next week with a pair of non-district meetings as they host White House on Monday, and travel to Station Camp on Wednesday. On Thursday, the Wildcats travel to Drakes Creek to take on perennial District 9-AAA front runner Hendersonville.
