Wilson Central Soccer was in action this past Friday night (March 25)against Coffee County. The Wildcats got off to a fast start with a goal in the 6th minute by Senior Kelton Brown on a corner kick from Senior James Graham.
Senior Andrew Kiefer finished the team’s second goal in the 10th minute of play on a mishandled ball by the Coffee County keeper to put the Wildcats up 2-0. Coffee County tightened the score in the 11th minute on a direct free kick to make the score 2-1. The two goals scored by Wilson Central in the first half would be enough to secure the win with the final score remaining 2-1. The Wildcats hold a 4-1 record and will travel to Merrol Hyde in Hendersonville on Tuesday.
In Junior Varsity action, the team held a 1-0 lead heading into halftime on a corner scored by Sophomore Esebiu Gal-Chis. Coffee County scored at the 42nd minutes mark to even the score but the Wildcats took over the game from there on two goals from Xhonathan Kaloshi pictured here in the 45th and 59th minutes
(Assists from Jhorgate Ruiz and Esebiu Gal-Chis) and a final goal with four seconds remaining on the clock coming from Junior Dalton Peck (Assisted by Collin Arthur). The final score was in the Wildcats’ favor 4-1. The Junior Varsity continues action against in county rival Lebanon High School on Thursday.
