Three Wildcat Pitchers Team Up  to shut  out Springfield
Wilson Central defeated Springfield 6-0 on Thursday, as 3 pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Jared Smith induced a groundout from Gregory to finish off the game.
The Wildcats secured the victory thanks to 4 runs in the 5th inning. Wilson Central scored on a single by Andrew Franklin, a triple by Dawson Hamilton, and a single by Ethan Shelton.

DSC_0569Franklin earned the win for the Varsity as he threw 5 innings, giving up 0 runs, 2 hits, striking out 11, and walking 1. 2 relievers helped Wilson Central Wildcats Varsity close out the victory. Jared Smith threw 1 inning.

Brown took the loss for Springfield as he tossed 4 innings, surrendering 2 runs, 2 hits, striking out 7, and walking 1.

Wilson Central recorded 8 hits in the game. Shelton and Chase Ford each collected multiple hits for Wilson Central.DSC_0531

Wilson Central will continue play as they host Dyersburg on Friday afternoon beginning at 4:00 followed by the nightcap against Arlington at 6:30pm.   GO WILDCATS!!!!!
