Softball–Lady Wildcats fall to Brentwood in season opener 6-1

The Lady Wildcats opened their 2017 season playing a home game against Brentwood High School.  The Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t  come back in a 6-1 loss on Monday.  Brentwood scored on a center field 2 run homer by Annie Bruins in the first inning and a single by Koenig  and Bruins in the second making the score 4-0.  Brentwood added another run in the 3rd and 4th inning.

Wilson Central scored their only run of the game in the 4th as Richetto steals home on a throw to first

102_0552Ashley Foster took the loss for Wilson Central giving up six runs on nine hits while striking out three Lady Bruins. Kenzey Meador went 2 for 3 to lead the Lady Wildcats in hitting as Wilson Central drops their first game of the year 6-1.  The Lady Wildcats will travel to Hendersonville’s Drakes Creek Park on Tuesday March 14 to take on the Lady Commandos with the first pitch slated for 5:00
