Wildcat Basketball holds year end Awards Banquet

The Wilson Central Wildcats held their end of the year celebration at WCHS presenting awards to deserving young men.  Coach Chris Carney and his staff presented three awards.  The first was the most improved player that showed continued improvement from day one until the last game of the year vs. Beech in the District Tournament.  This was awarded to Junior Kene Aruh.  The second award, Most Valuable Player,  was awarded to Junior Gavin Johnson who fought injury for more than half the year but still managed to be selected to the all-district regular season team.  The third and final award was the “The Wildcat Way”  award.  this award is presented to the player that exemplified leadership, drive and a overall desire for success of the team.  This was presented to Senior Cole Booth.
